Wellness

Wellness services are a broad spectrum of services designed to improve and optimize your physical health. Often, the improvement in your physical health impacts other aspects such as your mental and emotional wellbeing.

What does a wellness program look like?

The first thing we do when creating a wellness program is perform a head-to-toe evaluation and determine your potential for improvement. From there, we create a personalized plan to help you achieve your goals. Some of the areas we focus on are:

  • Strength & Endurance
  • Bone Health
  • Heart & Lung Health
  • Balance and Fall Prevention
  • Flexibility & Posture
  • Wellness Counseling
  • Management of Systemic Muscle & Joint Problems (e.g. arthritis, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, etc.)

Prevention is key. Why wait to get hurt?

The unique business model of Balanced Body Rehab was started by Dr. Josh Borgmeyer in 2008 because Dr. Borgmeyer saw a need in the chronic pain population he was seeing. He desired to offer services that would help people be more proactive and prevent them from deteriorating into a severe, chronic pain state that drastically diminished their quality of life.

Are you throwing in the towel or ready to start the good fight?

Most people are operating at about 50% of their physical ability. They often feel that prior injuries or getting older is self-limiting and their days of physical fun are gone. They don't realize how good they can feel. Our goal is to reach those people and teach them how to achieve their full potential. We help them experience joy with movement again.

Already had Physical Therapy? Now What?

Many of our patients "graduate" from physical therapy and then they ask "now what"? Fortunately for you, we have a solution.

Most conditions we treat are a result of bad habits of movement or posturing. We strive to give you all the educational tools you need to self-manage your habitual imbalances. However, sometimes life gets in the way, and your focus can naturally drift away from yourself and your pain/condition returns. To prevent this from happening, many of our patients choose to see our therapists every so often for "tune-up" sessions.

A tune-up session typically includes:

  • review of your prior postural imbalances, movement problems, or weak areas
  • brief assessment of your current state
  • review or advancement of your current home exercise program
  • manual therapy to correct areas that you find difficult to correct yourself

Your peace of mind and comfort are of the utmost importance to us.
